Safety

Foiling, surfing, and winging come with inherent risks. It’s important to take proper precautions to minimize the chance of injury and equipment damage.

1.) Personal Protective Equipment

A leash, impact vest or life jacket, and helmet (for e-foiling or high-speed riding) are strongly recommended.

2.) Environmental Awareness

Always check water depth, wind conditions, tides, and currents before heading out. Be aware of other water users and obstacles.

3.) Board and Foil Handling

Foils are sharp and can cause injury. Never stand too close to someone handling a foil, and always transport and store it with covers on.

4.) Right of Way

Follow standard water traffic rules. Give priority to those downwind and avoid cutting in front of other riders.

5.) Emergency Situations

If you lose control or fall, try to move away from the board and protect your head. In case of equipment failure, stay calm and signal for help if needed.

6.) Equipment Check

Regularly inspect your board, foil, wing, and any electronic components for damage or wear. Loose connections, cracked parts, or weak batteries can lead to failure on the water.
